the astute traveler's who wish to relax and indulge in freshly prepared gourmet meals, the fully crewed charters are perfect. Departures are available from both Hamilton Island and Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach.
The Whitsundays are fantastic cruising grounds for a honeymoon, friends gathering, family retreat or the boys fishing trip. Why share your vessel with others when you can experience your own holiday with the people you choose?
Skipper Yourself:
If you plan on Self-Skippering, please note that at least one person in your party must have previous boating experience. We advise that you have basic navigational skills, knowledge in first aid, sailing experience and basically know what your doing, otherwise you are able to hire a fully experienced Sail Guide.
Briefing On your day of departure you will receive a fully comprehensible Briefing which will give you knowledge on the vessel you are chartering and on the Whitsundays. Your briefing will cover navigations, safety, anchoring destinations and local knowledge. We suggest you read '100 Magic Miles' by David Colfelt.
Provisioning You have two options available for provisioning, you can use a local provisioning company to organise your meals for you and on the vessel on your day of departure, or we have 2 large Supermarkets close by with which the designated Chef in your group can shop to their hearts desire! Provisioning can be organised after you have booked your Bareboat charter.
What to Pack The essentials to bring on your bareboat sailing charter in the Whitsundays are heaps of sunscreen, sunglasses, broad rimmed hat, swimsuit, shorts, T-shirts, deckshoes and an old pair of sandshoes. Include a smart casual outfit for resort visits. During the cooler months include warmer trousers and a light sweater or tracksuit. As storage is limited, use soft fabric luggage bags. Avoid wearing hard leather or black soled shoes and coconut based tanning oil. Snorkelling equipment is on board but if you prefer your own gear you are welcome to bring it, along with your favourite CD's
Whats on board Linen, blankets, pillows and towels. Safety gear, navigational aids, snorkelling equipment and dinghy with outboard. Fully equipped galley for you to prepare those gourmet meals including crockery and cutlery. BBQ for enjoying that starlight evening meal. Soap, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, cleaning agents, vinegar etc

We have a wide range of sailing yachts, catamarans and motor vessels. Departures are available from both Hamilton Island and Airlie Beach. Vessels are suited for 2 - 8 people and can come with a Skipper or hostess for an additional cost. You will need to have basic boating knowledge to be able to charter your own vessel. |
