SV Whitehaven is an advanced ECO Certified cruising yacht that will provide a classic Whitsunday sailing experience plus insight into the life of the traditional island inhabitants of the region, the Ngaro aboriginals, and the early settlement by Europeans and it's later recognition as a World Heritage area.

The 17.5m 'Beach Boat' SV Whitehaven was designed to cruise tropical waters in comfort. With big open decks to sunbathe on, plenty of on deck seating and huge aft deck permanent shade she is the ideal safari boat.

With an emphasis on snorkelling, eco guided island exploration and of course plenty of time enjoying Whitehaven Beach. If you don't want a dive boat and want to spend more time exploring the islands and beaches, this Whitsunday Island sailing safari is for you. This Advanced Eco Accredited safari is adventure packed, informative and fun.

SV Whitehaven was specifically built for sailing the Whitsundays, and features both double and single berths for 23 passengers. She is an impressive looking vessel with a deep and rich mahogany interior which makes for a comfortable area to relax in.

The 2 day/2 night sail through the Whitsundays takes you to the best destinations of the day. The 3 crew will encourage you to lend a hand with sailing, and take advantage of their local knowledge of the marine life and history of the area. You will explore the many private coves and inlets surrounding the Islands, stroll along the breathtaking Whithaven Beach and trek up to the popular Hill Inlet look out to view all the Whitsundays. Even take a bushwalk to learn about the Aboriginal culture and see some rock paintings from days long ago.

This Eco - certified cruising yacht will provide not only a classic Whitsunday sailing experience but give immeasurable insight into the lives of the original island inhabitants as well as the various wildlife that call this tropical paradise home.

A Young, Fun Safari

SV Whitehaven is a fun experience for the young [or young at heart] and our experienced guides will provide guests with activities such as:

Bushwalking
Explore the rainforests whist being informed about native wildlife and history
Snorkelling
Exploration of this maritime wonderland is a must and you will be able to swim and snorkel the fringing reefs of the islands
Aboriginal Culture
Our guides will give you insight into the traditional island inhabitants of the region the Ngaro aboriginals.
Ecology
During the safari you will have the opportunity to observe and learn about the exceptional biodiversity of life that thrives both below and above the water.
Fun activities
Guides will organise activities and games at our exclusive beach locations. From beach cricket and volleyball to beach exploration to relaxing in the shade...... Do as little or as much as you like...

$429pp Share single accommodation

Price is per person in AUD and includes GST, National Park, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park entry fees, professional skipper and host. All meals, accommodation whilst on board, fresh linen and use of wetsuits or snorkel suits and snorkelling equipment are also included.

Environmental luggage bags supplied for this sail. (No large backpacks or suitcases are permitted onboard).

What to Bring

Weather appropriate clothing and footwear, BYO alcohol, beach and bath towels, camera, suncream, swimwear, hat and reading material.
