Waltzing Matilda is a 60 ft sailing ketch made from fibreglass and has been sailing the Whitsunday Islands for the past ten years. Featuring share and double cabins and offering fresh linens, towels and hot showers, you'll feel right at home in this tropical paradise aboard the Waltzing Matilda.  

 For the ultimate experience, lend a hand to the friendly crew and take over at the helm for a bit. Experience theexhilaration of guiding the Waltzing Matilda around the Whitsundays for a true sailing adventure. Then take some time to lounge on the deck and unwind while you enjoy your holiday.
 
For the adventure of a lifetime, take advantage of the on board snorkeling equipment that is available. Swim among the fascinating marine life that's hidden beneath the tranquil waters. See some of the world's most impressive coral reef formations and don't forget to bring the camera to capture some of the island's beauty.
 
If you'd rather not get your feet wet, take a bush walk at Hill Inlet and visit the Aboriginal art caves. Explore the many coves and inlets and visit the famed Whitehaven Beach, named one of the most idyllic in the world. Stroll along the white, sandy, pristine beach and revel in nature's unspoiled beauty.   A family owned business, Wayne and Sandy take great pride in their vessel and this is obvious as soon as you step onboard. Waltzing Matilda is suitable for all ages, perfect for families, groups of friends or those wanting to experience a truly memorable sailing adventure. 

Cuisine 

All meals are prepared on board by the Chef. Special dietry needs can be catered for and a sample of a days menu may include:

  • Tea and coffee for morning and afternoon tea, fruit platters, lamingtons
  • Breakfast: Selection of breads and muffins, fruit salad, tea, coffee and a full array of condiments.
  • Lunch: “Ye olde aussie sausage sizzle”, BBQ onion rings, Potato salad, Tossed salad, Beetroot slices,  sliced pineapple, bread selection
  • Sunset Platters  The all time favourite Nachos!
  • Dinner:  Hearty ploughman’s stew, Hot buttered pasta, Fresh balsamic green salad, Freshly sliced cottage loaf

What to Bring 
The essentials to bring on your sailing tour will be toiletries, sun protection including hat and sunglasses, swimwear, beach & bath towels, comfortable shoes for walking.  Please bring your own alcohol
