Minimum Price: AUD $ 0 The weather in the Whitsundays is sub tropical, as we are just above the Tropic of Capricorn. From March/April through to September our Islands are fanned by trade winds - which make for fantastic sailing. The summer weather is hot and pleasant, with the winter being cooler but generally above 23°C. Generally, at any time during the year you will find you have enough wind to enjoy a pleasant sail yet we do have the occassional calm flat days. From March - September we have periodic burts of trade wind activity and it is advised that you anchor where you are protected from southerly-exposed winds which can suddenly spring up. Nara and Macona Inlets are both popular anchorages as they are not as exposed as the southern side of the Whitsunday Islands.
