Combining both power and speed, Matador, will take you for a 2 day and 2 night adventure sail through the Whitsundays. The largest International Offshore Racing Maxi ever built, Matador takes 25 passengers.

At 24.9m in length Matador is the largest International Offshore Racing Maxi ever built.  Designed, developed and constructed at a cost of over US$20 million in 1991, Matador is constructed from carbon fibre, titanium and aluminium.  In her prime, Matador competed in 52 races, 8 regattas and 2 Maxi world championships and was undefeated proving she is truly an awesome sailing machine.

Now retired from racing, Matador conducts 2 day and 2 night sailing and diving holidays around the Whitsunday Islands.  Combine the thrill of sailing the Whitsundays on this legendary Maxi, with exploring the beautiful underwater world of the Whitsunday Islands when you sail with us on Matador.  


All meals are prepared fresh on board, and with prior notice, special dietary needs can be catered to.

$375per person plus $20 per person local taxes and levy = $395 per person 

 
WHAT TO BRING
The essentials to bring on your sailing tour will be toiletries, sun protection including hat and sunglasses, swimwear, beach & bath towels, Practical clothing and footwear, Any medication you require, BYO alcohol in cans or cask (no glass please) and your favourite CD's
 
WHATS INCLUDED

Your sailing tour includes meals, snorkelling equipment, bed linen, sailing experience and the opportunity to scuba dive (extra cost).

 

Pre-Departure Diving Considerations

In accordance with Queensland OH & S and PADI regulations, the following conditions apply:

All divers must complete a medical questionnaire, disclaimer and a Dive Brief prior to diving.


Divers over the age of 45 or with a history of asthma, ear or heart conditions or recent surgery or on regular medication or pregnant or epilepsy may be precluded from scuba diving unless a current Diving Medical Certificate is produced.


The minimum age for diving is 12 years.


All Certified Divers must produce a current Dive Certification.


Various courses are also available to enhance your scuba diving holidays.
