Experience the highlights of the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef on board the eco accredited purpose built sail/dive vessel Pacific Star. Offering modern comforts such as air-conditioning, ensuite cabins, TV, DVD and CD Player. Pacific Star carries a maximum of 21 passengers in share accommodation, private twin and double cabins.

Pacific Star also has a purpose built dive platform and takes 2 professional SCUBA dive instructors who are keen to assist certified and introductory divers in experiencing the Great Barrier Reef. With courses also available for certified divers, if your looking for a great diving and snorkelling experience in the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef, Pacific Star will be sure to please.

Scuba Diving The accommodation on board is a mix of share single berths, private twins and private doubles which have ensuites. Pacific Star carries a maximum of 21 passengers and has plenty of room inside to relax around the saloon. Large deck space also to sunbathe on while your making the journey to the outer reef.

All dive gear is included in the dive prices and the first 20 min dive is free. Pacific Star is fitted with a high capacity compressor which means tanks can be refilled and dives won't be limited to the number of tanks on board.

Snorkelling and scuba diving holidays in the Whitsundays are an amazing experience. Water temperatures of 20-28 oC (68-80 oF), underwater visibility of up to 30 metres and vast stretches of pristine coral and abundant fish life provide the perfect environment for world-class diving holidays. A visit to Whitehaven Beach is also on the agenda.

*LEVY = Marine (5 per day) and National Park ($1.50 per day) entry charge, fuel levy $4 per trip and administration fee ($6.50 for 3 day trip)

WHAT TO BRING

The essentials to bring on your sailing tour will be toiletries, diving log (if certified), sun protection including hat and sunglasses, swimwear, beach & bath towels, comfortable shoes for walking and extra cash for on board purchases or scuba diving. Pacific Star is a BYO alcohol but please remember no glass on board.

WHATS INCLUDED

Your tour includes all meals prepared fresh, bed linen, hot showers, snorkelling equipment, bushwalking, sailing experience, scuba diving available and experienced, friendly crew.

*PADI Rescue Dive/Advanced Dive courses available on board Pacifc Star.

Pre-Departure Diving Considerations

In accordance with Queensland OH & S and PADI regulations, the following conditions apply:

All divers must complete a medical questionnaire, disclaimer and a Dive Brief prior to diving.

Divers over the age of 45 or with a history of asthma, ear or heart conditions or recent surgery or on regular medication or pregnant or epilepsy may be precluded from scuba diving unless a current Diving Medical Certificate is produced.

The minimum age for diving is 12 years.

All Certified Divers must produce a current Dive Certification.

Various courses are also available to enhance your scuba diving holidays.
