Minimum Price: AUD $ 695 Sailing with eight guests in four private cabins with ensuites, Whitsunday Blue is a relaxed and spacious 41ft catamaran suited for those looking for a fun trip with gourmet meals and scuba diving available. Whitsunday Blue departs from Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach for a 2 day/2 night sail through the Islands visiting destinations such as Hamilton or Daydream Island and Whitehaven Beach. One of the few vessel to offer snorkelling, water kayaking and fishing. The inherent stability of a catamaran means you can relax and unwind in comfort as your hostess and professional skipper guide you around the calm anchorages of the magnificent 74 Islands. The ultimate getaway as you meet new friends and are taken to exclusive beaches that the larger cruise ships cannot access. Enjoy sumptuous meals prepared by your on board chef and delight in the aromas of freshly brewed local coffee. Snorkeling, fishing, diving and kayaking are all available, or simply enjoy a good book and a quiet relaxing sail. Another option is to visit well known Whitsunday Islands such as Hayman, Hamilton, Daydream or Club Med Lindeman and explore their collection of cocktails bars and pools. Whitsunday Blue was designed to be flexible so as to take, where possible, the desires and wishes of our guests, and make the most of all the Whitsundays have to offer. No two trips are alike as we sail from one idyllic island hideaway to the next, and with no strict itinerary we endeavor to use your choices as our guide. A quiet afternoon sunset sail or snorkeling with a 2 metre giant Maori Wrasse amongst a massive school of Yellow Tailed Fusiliers. With our shallow draft we can back right up to the beach, each hull has transom steps for easy access in and out of the water. At night watch the stars dance across the heavens on the comfortable foredeck or enjoy a good movie on the large outdoor home theatre in the aft cockpit. So what are you waiting for? Come sailing with Whitsunday Blue! SAMPLE ITINERARY Day One: Arriving at the marina around 2.00 pm is the beginning of your Whitsunday Blue experience. Waiting to welcome you aboard our magnificent catamaran are our skipper and hostess. After an onboard vessel briefing, we steam out to explore the very best the Whitsundays have to offer. We cruise effortlessly across turquoise waters to shortly arrive at stunning Mantaray Bay. Here is your first opportunity to climb in the water and experience for yourself what the Whitsundays is all about. Put on the snorkel , our magnificent coral reef is yours to explore. Be awed by huge Maori Wrasse or say hello to a giant Groper. Many of the fish are very tame and will swim right up to inspect you . After a generous session of in water excitement Whitsunday Blue launches off towards her evening anchorage. The nightly location varies according to prevailing weather conditions, but our favourites are Cid Island or Macona Inlets. Watch the sunset over the islands as you lounge around in our heated foredeck spa bath sipping a chilled drink - where else in the world could you possibly want to be? After dinner, kick back and watch a digital slide show of the days happenings or take in a movie on the flatbed screen in Blues large saloon.... After a last glance across the shimmering waters of the harbour, you fall into your huge, comfy berth and enjoy the best nights’ sleep you’ve ever had while Blue floats peacefully in her secluded anchorage.. Day Two: Don't sleep in – there’s too much to do! The crew are up early to make you a cuppa and prepare your fabulous continental breakfast. After a quiet pleasant sail we head off to visit the vast silica sands of magnificent Whitehaven Beach. See just why this beach is rated the most beautiful in the world. It will take your breath away. Wading through crystal clear water over brilliant fine white sand with the ocean vista before you is an experience never to be forgotten and another highlight of your Whitsunday Blue cruise. Swim, snorkel or laze on the world’s finest beach. You may never want to leave but after a superb smorgasboard, we up anchor to visit one of the many sensational islands fringed by stunning coral reef. After a full day of diving, swimming or simply relaxing and soaking up the magnificent views, our palatial cruise boat drifts gently up Nara Inlet for a peaceful evening in this tropical rock fjord on Hook Island... Day Three: Wake early - or late! After breakfast explore the Inlet by dinghy or take the famous walk past ancient aboriginal cave drawings to one of Naras highest peaks. At the right time of year, a sparkling waterfall cascades from rock pools to the waters below. It’s then off around the corner to spectacular Langford reef where you can play amongst the marine life of the Whitsunday Islands with the playground of the rich and famous, Hayman Island before you. On our trip back to Airlie Beach, lounge around on the huge forward netts and soak up the stunning views... sure to be with you for years to come... Afternoon Tea Mrs Fields fudge cookies and tea/coffee and hot chocolate. Sunset Fine dips accompanied by crispy strip vegetables and savoury flavoured. Dinner Rib fillet steak your choice of Mushroom, pepper or garrlic butter sauces. Served with potato gratin and steamed vegetables. Accompanied by cheese and herb ciabatta bread. Day 3 Breakfast "Whitsunday Blue Hot Breakfast" - Bacon, eggs (scrambled, fried or poached) with grilled tomato, mushrooms on toasted English muffins Morning Tea Assorted berrie and chocolate muffins. Tea/coffee and hot chocolate. Lunch Caesar Salad, Potato salad, pasta salad, marinated oven roasted chicken pieces served with crunchy fresh rolls. Scuba Diving: $85 per dive/per person What to bring: The essentials to bring on your sailing tour will be toiletries, diving log (if certified), sun protection including hat and sunglasses, swimwear, beach towels, comfortable shoes for walking and extra cash for on board purchases or scuba diving (extra cost).
