Sail and Fly is a 2 day / 1 night sailing trip including a scenic helicopter flight over Hill inlet and Whitsunday islands.
Locally famous for her delicious Italian cuisine, Ileola offers passengers a 2 day/1 night intimate sail through the Whitsunday Islands visiting the popular destinations such as Whitehaven Beach, Tongue Bay and Hill Inlet.
This classic 18 metre, 3 masted Schooner was launched in 1952 and has a rich history – Ileola has covered over 600,000 sea miles and sailed approximately 15 times around the world. By 1990 her outstanding record of ocean races stood as follows: Sydney to Hobart - 10, Melbourne to Hobart - 16, Melbourne to Davenport - 17, Sydney to Fiji - 3, Sydney to Noumea - 9, Sydney to Vanuatu - 2, shorter ocean races around the Victorian coast - 23.
She offers both private doubles and share accommodation and is suitable to those seeking a laid back cruise with a warm atmosphere and low group numbers.
Full of old world style and charm, she carries a maximum of 12 passengers for a 2 day/1 night adventure. Lend the crew a hand and learn the techniques of sailing, soak up the sunshine on top deck, talk to fellow travelers or just take in the amazing scenery surrounding you. 
First day: One full day of sailing and snorkeling and a sunset cruise….
Guests depart Abel Point marina at 8 am, sailing up to the best snorkel spot on the northern side of Hook Island (Mantaray Bay , Blue Pearl Bay etc). Spend the day there, with no rush and have a good snorkel before lunch and another one after, plenty of time for a rendezvous dive, beaching etc In the late afternoon, you will have a sunset cruise, to Nara Inlet a very beautiful, safe and calm spot, where Ileola will moor for the night.
Second day : All morning at Whitehaven Beach, followed by scenic fly over the Hill Inlet and the Whitsundays islands…
A cruise aboard the Ileola is not only a perfect way to see the historic Whitsundays but also a true culinary delight. If you love your Italian food, you have hit the jackpot! Skipper Massimo has managed restaurants and nightclubs in Italy for many years, and now has his turn in the Ileola kitchen. He will definitely open your eyes to Italian cooking and not surprisingly his motto is "In food we Trust". You'll be treated to delicious Italian foods while sailing the sparkling, tropical waters and visiting these breathtaking and unspoiled islands. Morning tea: Tea and coffee with fruit cake or biscuits, fresh fruit.
Lunch: Great pasta with tomatoes, mushrooms, vegetables, fish, bacon or what we find on board. Selection of salads.
Afternoon tea: Tea and coffee with fruit cake or biscuits.
Appetiser: Specially prepared dip with crackers, prawns served with a lemon chilli and mayonnaise dressing, cheese platter and salami.
Dinner: The famous chicken on the barbeque with our secret spices, or grilled barramundi with fresh herb sauce. Straccetti: shredded beef on rocket salad, mushrooms, celery and parmesan salad.
Dessert: Chocolate cake with cream or specialty.
Breakfast: Tea, coffee or espresso, fresh fruit salad, yogurt and honey, cereals, toast and croissant with jams or Nutella.
Lunch: Bruschetta and pasta al pesto - absolutely the best home made pesto in the southern hemisphere
